CYANOMETA at ICTC13: Showcasing Our Research on the Global Stage
The CYANOMETA project proudly wrapped up its latest milestone with an inspiring presence at the 13th International Conference on Toxic Cyanobacteria (ICTC13), held from May 4–8, 2025, in the stunning coastal city of Chania, Crete, Greece.
Surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Mediterranean and a vibrant community of over 250 scientists from across the globe, CYANOMETA researchers shared key findings from their groundbreaking work on cyanobacterial metabolomics.
We were thrilled to present one oral and three poster presentations, representing collaborative efforts from each of our partner institutions:
Oral Presentation – Dr. Nada Tokodi
Poster Presentation – PhD student Bock Illés

These presentations highlighted diverse insights into the metabolomic profiles of Raphidiopsis raciborskii strains and their ecological and toxicological implications. But that’s not all - this is just the beginning! Our team is currently preparing several manuscripts for submission to leading international peer-reviewed journals to share our findings more broadly.
Stay tuned as we continue to explore the untapped potential of cyanobacterial metabolites and share our findings with the global scientific community.
